Interior of Prospect House

Built in 1851-1852, Prospect House served for decades as the home of Princeton's president; later as a meeting, dining, and social facility1. In 2023, Prospect House is undergoing interior rennovation. Princetoniana was afforded the opportunity to photograph the interior in May 2023, before work started. The master stair case, the rotunda, and the curio cabinet in Room G are particularly interesting.

Thanks to Jean Hendry *80 and Prospect General Manager Kari-Jean Bowman for arranging access, and to Petra Swift s76 for her photographs.
