June 1942: Parents of freshmen hockey donate plaque.

1944: University Gym burns down and the floor of rink converted to temporary gym floor. East end promenade enclosed in glass.

1946: Returning veterans cause enrollment surge. Temporary cots set up in Baker Rink for 200 students.

Nov 1947: Upstairs lounge burns.

1958-60: Renovations made including new lighting, refrigeration, additional locker rooms, rest rooms, east end stands. Also, new roof and gutters installed.
