1906: Terrace Club purchased house of Professor John Grier Hibben.

1916: Considered plan for remodeling the house but construction delayed because of World War I. Remodeling completed in 1920 changing the appearance of the house dramatically from "Colonial Revival" to "Elizabethan Half-Timbered."

1987: Fire causes extensive damage.
