South Asian music ensemble Tarana was started in 2011 by a group of students who loved South Asian music and wanted to combine South Asian genres with all the diverse types of music they've come across. From the very first concert, Tarana has performed music that includes rock, instrumental, a capella, jazz, classical, fusion, and Bollywood. Tarana has performed at many campus-wide events including Princeton's Dance Dimensions competition in 2011. After a brief hiatus, Tarana was started again in 2015 with a focus on a capella music.
