The Princeton University Tigressions all-female group was founded in 1981 by undergraduate women eager to add another, new sound to Princeton's rich, but largely all-male, a cappella tradition (women had only been on campus since 1969). The Tigressions’ first performance was in the 1879 Arch during Houseparties. The Tigressions sound is characterized by fun and fresh, all-female a cappella music. They have performed for schools, private parties, corporate events, receptions, restaurants, churches, assisted living centers, hotels and everything in between. Their repertoire contains the latest contemporary hits, older classics, and holiday favorites – songs that aim to delight all audiences and ages.
