The logo depicts a tiger being crushed by four books, representing the Four Course Plan. Under this policy, every upper-class student studying for an A.B. had to take four courses and write a thesis. The Class of 1925 was the first class affected.

Malcolm Warnock '25, who for many years was the oldest returning alumnus at Reunions, did not actually graduate from Princeton but rather from Columbia University. It is thought that he transferred there in order to avoid the Four Course Plan.
