The corresponding Jadwin Hall, home of the physics department, was designed by Hugh Stubbins, also the architect of the "New New Quad" dormitories. A six-level, granite and brick structure, Jadwin Hall forms a quadrangle immediately to the south of Fine Tower. Aboveground, it is connected by a plaza to Fine, and underground by a library shared by the math and physics departments. Together, these structures totaled 357,000 square feet and cost $17.2 million.
